OGUN STATE SCOUT COUNCIL AGM: CHIEF JUDGE COMMENDS SCOUTERS’ DEVOTEDNESS
The 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ogun State Scout Council witnessed a heartening acknowledgment from the esteemed Ogun State Chief Judge and President of the Council, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu FICMC,FHNR. Held in the vibrant city of Abeokuta, the State Capital on Thursday, 29th February 2024, the event served as a platform for recognizing the unwavering commitment of Scout leaders and members towards the advancement of the Council.
Hon. Justice Dipeolu, in her address, lauded the leadership and other Scouters for their dedicated efforts in fostering progress within the Council. Urging them to persist in their endeavors, she emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and prepared, echoing the timeless motto of the Scout movement: “Be Prepared.”
The Chief Judge highlighted the Council’s notable achievements, including its engagement in citizenship training, community service projects, and provision of first aid during emergencies across the State. Such endeavors underscored the Council’s invaluable contributions to the welfare of the community and its commitment to the principles of scouting.
Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including the Acting President of the Ogun State Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Adebisi Femi-Segun, Hon. Justice Anthony Araba, traditional rulers, and members of the Ogun State Judiciary’s management team. The presence of these dignitaries underscored the significance of scouting in promoting civic responsibility and community development.
With a gathering of over 100 Scouters representing various units and associations across the State, the AGM exemplified the unity and collective spirit of the scouting movement in Ogun State. Through their dedication and service, these Scouters exemplify the ethos of scouting, inspiring future generations to uphold its principles.
