TESCOM CHAIRMAN NOW A SCOUT

OGUN STATE SCOUT COUNCIL INVESTS TESCOM CHAIRMAN AS COUNCIL MEMBER

Apostle ‘Biodun Sanyaolu invested as Council Member of the Ogun State Scout Council.

Early yesterday, the Scout Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Scout Council, officially invested the Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Apostle ‘Biodun Sanyaolu, as a Council Member of the association.

Apostle Sanyaolu joins other eminent personalities who serve on the Council, including the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu; the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Femi Segun; Justice A.O. Jibodu; the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola; and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo.

Speaking shortly after his investiture ceremony held at the Scout Secretariat, Ita-Iyalode, Abeokuta, Apostle Sanyaolu commended the association’s leadership for its enduring commitment and monumental achievements, especially in molding the lives and character of young people.

He appreciated the collective efforts of the State Scout Council members toward the growth and progress of the association and urged members to remain united and speak with one voice in advancing the cause of Scouting.

Describing his investiture as both an honour and a call to service, Apostle Sanyaolu pledged his commitment to promoting the ideals of Scouting and supporting the association’s vision of nurturing responsible future leaders.

While declaring open a three-day workshop for Cub Scout Leaders in the state, the TESCOM Chairman encouraged participants to uphold and demonstrate the ethics and values of Scouting in their daily lives and engagements.

In his address, the Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Nigeria, Mr. Umar Mohammed, represented by the Assistant Chief Commissioner, Dr. Tola Adenekan, lauded the efforts of the Ogun State Scout leadership. He appealed to Apostle Sanyaolu to encourage the involvement of principals and teachers in Scouting activities for the benefit of schools and learners.

The State Scout Commissioner, Pastor Olatunji Akinsanya, in his opening remarks, expressed appreciation to the State Scout Council for its continued support, noting that Apostle Sanyaolu’s investiture would further strengthen the association and inspire greater achievements.

The highpoint of the event was a colourful parade display by the State Scout Parade Team.

Other dignitaries in attendance included the Principals-General for Ijebu, Egba, and Yewa Divisions, Directors in TESCOM, SHQ Commissioner’s and members of the State Scout Council.
