The 2024 Extraordinary General Meeting of The Scout Association of Nigeria marked a significant milestone in Nigerian Scouting, as new leaders were elected to guide the movement forward.
With deep respect for tradition and an eye on the future, the new leadership is set to take charge and steer Scouting Nigeria towards renewed excellence.
The new team includes:
Chief Scout: Olori Omoba Olusoga Sofolahan (South West, Ondo)
Deputy Chief Scout: Hon. Justice Christopher Awubra (North East, Taraba)
Chief Commissioner: Umar Muhammad (North West, Zamfara)
Hon. National Secretary: Engr. Dr. Obinna Anyaoha (South East, Enugu)
Hon. Treasurer: Arinola Juliana Akinyemi (North Central, Abuja)
Congratulations to each of you on your appointments. Leadership is not just a title; it’s a call to service. As you embark on this journey, may you lead with integrity, unity, and the spirit of Scouting, ensuring the values of discipline, service, and leadership shine through every decision.
We encourage you to remember that true leadership often requires standing alone in the pursuit of what is right. In times of challenge, be strong and focused on your vision for a greater Scouting movement in Nigeria. The choices you make today will shape the future of thousands of young scouts, and through your leadership, we hope to see Nigerian Scouting rise to new heights in the African region and globally.
We at Bravo Amos Scout Blog offer our heartfelt congratulations to the new leadership. We believe that under your guidance, Scouting in Nigeria will thrive, becoming a beacon of hope, discipline, and service once again. May your tenure be filled with successes that make Nigeria proud, and may Scouting Nigeria become greater than ever before.
Once again, congratulations! We look forward to seeing the positive impact of your leadership.
