This is the typical example of modern scouting during Late Sir, Lord Baden Powell’s camp life and history in the life’s of colony, troops and Groups…
Gone where the days where when the camp of it’s kind exist, days where camping is run in accordance with BP’s standard…
where series of “SCOUT CRAFTS” will be practised and demonstrated.
This kind of camping requires a well ventilated environment in an open air and elevated ground around the bush. In a Craft camping as such, scouts display their scouting skills and talents.
Step off the road from their home to live comfortably in the wood for a few days, Construct huts, pitch their tents⛺🏕️, and gadgets, lash a tripod together, build bridges and empire under the river, cook their food in “umu”, Build and cook around the campfire, tell yarns, stories and catch funs, stay warm and dry and leave no traces of their presence when they leave.
I’m proud and joyous to be part of it’s kind. How i wish we restore back those glorious days era of scouting in Nigeria.
