LSSC and his entourage graced the Ojo Scout Divisional Reunion &Get Together at Ibeshe Sea Beach, Abule Ado, Ojo, Lagos on Saturday 5th December, 2020 in what became a surprise to the organizers and participants at the Get-Together as this is the first time a sitting SSC will visit any of Ojo Scout Divisional programmes in recent times.
The SSC as a grassroot Scout defied all odds which included the bad roads and the task of mounting a speed boat to the beach with his entourage.
On arrival at the Campsite, the SSC and his entourage was received by the Divisional Scout Commissioner; Captain Francis Alade (WB) who led the entourage to the beachside where the get together was agog with fun in a serene atmosphere.
The Divisional Commissioner expressed his surprise at the presence of the SSC despite the road and hurdle of taking the speed boat ashore the sea to locate the Campsite without calling to notify them of his coming.
The Dvcom who is a Seafarer took the SSC and his entourage to the sea view and informed them that the Sea side we are presently; harbours the safest anchorage of the Nigerian Territorial waters and ships in view are laden with essential commodities yet to be cleared by the Nigerian Port Authority. He equally debriefed the Entourage that the reunion was able to hunt down fishes through the use of locals who reside close to the sea and the Division was able to bring together her leaders far and near to brainstorm on quality Scouting delivery.
The SSC was then requested to join the participants in Horse Climbing among other activities.
In his remarks, the SSC, LSSC commended the Ojo Scout Divisional Commissioner and his team for a well organized event.
He charged the entire Ojo Scout Division to re-strategize for the new year in terms of activities and rejig it’s effectiveness in quality Scouting delivery across board.
The SSC and his entourage left the Campsite via Speed boat at about 6pm and wished the participants a safe stay at the camp.
