Courtesy Visit to Nigerian Army Command: Strengthening Community Bonds

The Ijebu Provincial Commissioner, Scouter Obafemi Odunuga Victor, and his entourage paid a courtesy visit today to Lt Col Enias Alfred, the Commanding Officer of the Headquarters, 12 Field Engineer Regiment, Sappers Barracks, Ilese-Ijebu.
The delegation was warmly received by the Commanding Officer and his cabinet. During their engaging discussion, Lt Col Enias Alfred acknowledged the value of the Scout Movement in shaping disciplined and responsible youth.
He reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with the Scouts for mutual community development.
As a mark of this new collaboration, Lt Col Enias Alfred generously offered several forms of support to Scouts across Ijebu Province:
Access to leadership and discipline training by military personnel for Scout leaders and youth members.
Use of military facilities such as training grounds and halls for major scouting events.
Logistics support during regional and national scout camps.
Security collaboration for outdoor scouting activities.
Technical sessions by army engineers on survival skills, environmental protection, and national service.
Scouter Odunuga Obafemi victor Provincial Commissioner and his team expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Commanding Officer’s openness, vision, and remarkable hospitality.
This visit marks a meaningful step toward a stronger relationship between the Scout Movement and the Nigerian Army in Ijebu Province, centered on youth development and patriotism.
