NOW HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE 2021 EKO SCOUT JAMBOREE

LOCATION:

Eleko tourist Beach resort, Akodo, ibeju Lekki, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria.

DATE:

Friday 6th to Sunday 14th August 2021.

ELIGIBILITY:

Jamboree welcome both male and female members of the scout association including cub, scout and venture. Minimum age is 6 years and maximum age is 18 years by 6th of August 2021.

We request that all contingents from Lagos State have the approval of their District scout commissioner. While those from other states of the federation, should have approval of their state scout commissioner or his/her designates. Contingent with female youth, should have a female leader of over 21 years of age as member of the contingent management team.

EQUIPMENT:

The participants and their leaders MUST provide their tentage, camp equipment, eating utensles and their cooking gears.

FEE AND PAYMENT

FORMALITIES: The total jamboree fee is N6,000:00 only (six thousand naira) for only participants, and N7,000:00 only (seven thousand naira) for adults, which includes all food, camp activities, commemorative badge and necktie, jamboree vest, jamboree handbook, jamboree name tag. Non refundable deposit of N2,000:00 (two thousand naira) MUST BE PAID NOT LATTER THAN 13TH MARCH 2021 for booking per participants and adults, second payment of N2,000:00 only (two thousand naira) and N3,000:00 only (three thousand naira) by youth and adults, respectively NOT LATER THAN 31ST OF MAY 2021 AND FINAL PAYMENT NOT LATER THAN 1ST OF JULY 2021

EXCURSION:

Both participants and leaders will enjoy an excursion to historical places in Epe and Lagos island. Excursion arrangements will be made for only those who pay excursion fee of N3,000:00 only (three thousand naira), payment for excursion fee MUST BE PAID NOT LATER THAN TUESDAY 1ST JULY 2021.

EXPECTED CONTINGENT:

We expect participants from all local association in Lagos State and also from other state scout councils in Nigeria.

INSURANCE:

Each group is responsible for it’s own personal and equipment insurance. Each group and international visitors MUST arrange for their medical insurance cover.

EVENT FOR LEADERS:

Adults will enjoy special events of their own including excursion and reunion.

LIMITED CAMP CAPACITY:

Total participants is limited to 5,000 (five thousand) scouts and 100 (one hundred) adult. Contingent from other states scout councils will join patrols from Lagos and work together throughout the encampment.

This structure encourages everyone to meet and fully interact with each other.

A fully unique opportunity for fellowship and cultural exchange.

RESERVATIONS:

Reservations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, we’ll try to accommodate all contingents, either composite or individual unit that want to experience the Eko scout jamboree 2021.

We recommend that you return the attach RESERVATION FORM before the closing date.

VISITING HOUR:

Visiting hours to the jamboree is from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL NCDC DIRECTIVES ON COVID 19 WILL BE STRICTLY OBSERVED DURING THE ENCAMPMENT
