The Chief Scout of Nigeria, Dr Olusoga Sofolahan paid a courtesy visit to the Hon Minister of Interior, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo today in Abuja.
The Chief Scout who was around to meet with Minister among other issues used the opportunity to seek his support towards the development of Scouting in Nigeria. Olusoga, who made this appeal during his visit infomed the Minister of his recent appointment by the National Scout Council as the Chief Scout Nigeria.
He added that the Minister, being a key ministry head has strategic areas of interest with the Scout movement, Olusoga continued outlining the roles of scouting in fostering peaceful and vices free communities.
Speaking during the closed doors meeting, the Minister who was reacting to the Chief Scout’s report lauded the role of Scouts in promoting citenzenship and leadership. He expressed his readiness to support the continued development of the Scout leaders.
