Legacy, A Life Dedicated to Scouting and Youth Development
The Leadership of the Scout Association of Nigeria is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our beloved Chief Scout of Nigeria and Former Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Nigeria, Olori Omoba Dr. Olusoga Atibioke Sofolahan FSM, FCE, Ph.D, LT, DCC. We are deeply grieved by his demise.
Our hearts go out to the immediate family of our Chief Scout and the Scouting Community worldwide during this difficult time. He was a visionary leader, a teacher, and a role model who dedicated his life to building a better society through scouting.
His commitment and unwavering dedication to the development of young people in Nigeria will never be forgotten. He led with wisdom and passion, using his knowledge to guide and uplift the youth. His work will continue to inspire us, reminding us to stay united and work selflessly for the betterment of mankind.
Dr. Olusoga Sofolahan was a good man; his love and value for scouting were exceptional. The Late Chief Scout was an exemplary leader, a passionate advocate for good scouting, a trainer, a mentor, an administrator, and a shining example of the values that scouting embodies.
His tireless efforts to promote scouting within and outside Nigeria have left an indelible mark on the lives of countless young people. Under his leadership, scouting in Nigeria flourished, and his vision for a more inclusive and vibrant scouting community inspired us to love one another. His contributions to the global scouting movement were equally remarkable, earning him respect and admiration from scouts and scouters around the world.
We will miss his wise counsel, his infectious enthusiasm, and his unwavering commitment to the scouting ideals. However, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us to strive for excellence. His death is an irreplaceable loss to the Scouting family.
May the memories of the Late Chief Scout’s remarkable life and achievements be a blessing to his family and the Scouting world. Please accept our sincerest condolences.
