THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN LAGOS STATE SCOUT CONCIL AT TRAUMA CARE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION TRAINING CENTER


Trauma Care International Foundation is a non-governmental organization whose mission it is to improve the delivery of trauma care and emergency response services through advocacy and community-based initiatives that improve health education.AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATIONHeart saver first aid CPR AED training (trauma care initiative)THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN “TSAN” , in affiliation with the above named organisations, has commenced her physical training in batches, after the online training which took place during the lock down in April.20-06-2020, the training began at 0900hours and ended at 1800hours with 6 scouts from Lagos (5males and 1females). The training were in 2 sessions (CPR and first aid), we were taught how to administer first aid in different situations, perform CPR on infants, children and adults, and how to use the AED (automated external defribillator). Each sessions consist of theory and practical, skill evaluation and examination.
The organization provided everything needed for a successful training from textbooks to files, jotting paper, hand gloves, syringe, mannequins, mouth resuscitation mask, breakfast, lunch etc. The training was able to accommodate 6 people, not just to maintain the social distancing policy but also to allow effecient learning.There shall be subsequent training for other batches and we encourage others to respond to the call.This is not a seminar or a workshop, this is an actual intensive training, every scouts should have this knowledge, for you don’t know what you’ve until you make use to it.
It is also not just a youth call, it’s a training every individual should take regardless of their age.
