HAPPY SCOUT SCARF DAY TO ALL SCOUT ALL AROUND THE WORLD
World Scout Scarf Day Celebration 2021
The idea of
“Scout Scarf Day”
on 1st August is that all active and former Scouts are requested to wear their Scout Scarf in public to make make the “Spirit of Scouting” visible.
Once a Scout, always a Scout. The date of the event commemorates the very first Scout camp on Brownsea Island in 1907.
The scarf is just a symbol but it is a very strong symbol regarding the Scout Promise and the Scout mission to leave the world a better place than the place we had found it.
The Scout holiday was created through a collaboration of Scouts groups worldwide since 2007.
This holiday is part of a collection of holidays inspired by the Scout Movement during the 1st half of the 20th Century which started when a certain Lieutenant General of the British Army named Robert Baden-Powel wrote a book for boys about Scouting called Scouting for Boys.
The easiest way to participate is if you have been a Scout, to wear the Scarf throughout the day wherever you may be.
Come on Scouts, let us be proud of our Organization and showcase our Scarf and celebrate the Scout 🧣 Scarf Day.
